What is ScavengrNet.com?
ScavengrNet.com is a unique game that combines social networking and directed advertising to create an interactive experience while rewarding players for what they already – surfing.
How much does it cost to play?
Absolutely nothing! Simply create a unique user ID and password and you’re ready to begin.
Basic Rules of ScavengrNET
While we want all of our players to have fun, win great prizes and play often, we do have some basic rules that are covered under our Terms of Service. The basic rule is one USER ID PER PERSON. This is done to maintain the integrity of the game and to ensure fair play. We do allow up to four users per household as to allow the entire family to play. By creating a USER ID, password and playing the game, you are acknowledging our Terms of Service. Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the game and forfeiture of all prizes awarded.
How do you play?
Once you register, simply go to the Hunter’s Lodge to see what games are either currently running or upcoming. You can pre-register for as many as you like; however, space is limited for each game. Once you enter the game, you will be asked a series of multiple choice questions that take you directly to the website that contains the answer. Find the answer, make your selection and go to the next question. Speed and accuracy are important so answer to the best of your ability. Once the game has finished, you will be instantly notified if you were a winner. But don’t worry, if you don’t win you can still earn credits and points for simply completing the Hunt.
How do I win and what are credits and points?
To win one of the prizes for 1st-5th place you must enter the hunt at the START of the game. The clock begins at the start of the game, not after. If you enter the game late you can still compete for both credits and points. To earn both credits and points, you must complete the entire hunt (answer every question). Your place of finish among other hunters will determine what you receive.
Credits are awarded based on place finished in the hunt and have a value of $1 per credit. Once you reach pre-determined redemption levels, you can exchange them for gift certificates by emailing info@scavengrnet.com with your request. The redemption levels are as follows:
$10, $15, $20, $25
Example - User ID AceHunter has 14.25 credits in his account. He can request a $10 gift certificiate and save his remaining 4.25 credits or he can wait to reach the next level of redemption of $15 or higher.
The maximum or "cap" is $100 per day or you can save them for "buying" your way in to exclusive hunts that are usually reserved for 1st place finishers in other hunts. These exclusive hunts will have bigger prizes and everyone that enters one will be a winner.
Points awarded based on place finished in the hunt are used for your national ranking and will have future value as we move closer to the MegaHunt. Points awarded as a prize are used for the "Hunter of the Month", have no credit value and reset on the 1st of each month. The "Hunter of the Month" will receive either certificates or prizes and will be notified within 48 hours if a winner for the preceding month. Finishing each hunt is critical if you want to be competitive!
What are the minimum browser requirements?
The game supports the following browsers:
IE 7+
FireFox 3+ (preferred)
Safari 3.2+
We currently support IE6 but make no guarantees as to future compatability as the game evolves.
During game play, a prompt is displayed that asks me if I want to navigate away from the current page. What do I do?
Select cancel! If you hit OK, you will be directed to another page and will leave the game. Don't worry though, if you accidently hit OK, you can still re-enter the game and continue from that point.
Why am I not receiving email from ScavengrNET.com?
There could be several reasons why you are not receiving your emails for update or winner notification. Follow these steps to ensure that your email will be received:
- Check Spam Blocker. Most Internet Service Providers (ISP) will route emails that seem suspicious to a Spam or Junk Folder
- Add this email address to your trusted or safelist: no-reply@scavengrnet.com
These are the basic steps for email certification. Please check with your ISP for technical assistance if these steps do not fix the problem.
What can I win?
Gift certificates can be awarded to 1st through 5th place with the following denominations
1st Place ($25)
2nd Place ($15)
3rd - 5th Place ($10)

What if I didn’t win?
No worries, you can still earn credits and points for every game that you COMPLETE. See our How Do I Win FAQ above for more details.
How do I know what questions I answered right or wrong?
We currently do not provide the answers to questions for several reasons. Questions could be used in future hunts and by providing the answer, would eliminate it from rotation. Additonally, it would provide a possible advantage to our veteran players and a unfair advantage to new players. We encourage you to be as accurate as possible when playing.
How can I track my points, credits and prizes?
All of this information will be contained under your profile in the Hunter’s Lodge. The information is updated as you win, earn or spend. If you feel your balance is in error, please email support@scavengrnet.com. Your email will be responded to within 24 hours of receipt.
What is done with my personal information contained in my profile?
We at ScavengrNet.com value your privacy and personal information. Any information collected will remain at ScavengrNet.com and not be sold to a third party.
